I consider this 39mm automatic to be the perfect everyday watch within my steady rotation. The watch is 11.5mm thick so it slides under a cuff nicely. The bracelet is extremely comfortable, truly one of my all-time favorite bracelets with its bevelled edges and engine turned decoration on the clasp. Mark XVI – The case size grew to 39mm, the 6 and 9 numerals were dropped from the dial. The Arabic numerals took on a more modern and elongated look and the hands were replaced by broader Flieger hands from the IWC Big Pilot line. OVERVIEW. IWC Mark XVI Spitfire was the watch that actually brought me to RWG, so I feel obligated to "give back" to this wonderful community and thank everyone here.
